The Adoption Trauma Spectrum
The Spectrum is not a rating of how well adoption “worked”. It is the lifespan itself, represented across a series of predictable activation points along which adoption trauma may reactivate across the lifespan.
Developed by Dr. Toland at Tulane University, 2022
Non-linear
Recovery is uneven across domains
Activation points may be integrated and reactivate at other points along the Spectrum
